Lichfield Road and the Birchfield Road (A34) through Perry Barr, with busy junctions, bus lanes and match-day traffic around Villa Park.

Master fast roads
The A38(M) Aston Expressway and Gravelly Hill Interchange at junction 6 of the M6, once you are ready for lane discipline at speed.

Birmingham (Kingstanding) Driving Test Centre
205 Birdbrook Road, Kingstanding, B44 9UL
A short drive north up the A34, and the closest centre for most Aston learners. We practise its routes, junctions and roundabouts with you before test day. Wednesbury (Knowles Street, WS10 9HN) is an option too.
DVSA rule from June 2026: a car test can only move to one of the 3 nearest centres, or back to the original, so choose with care before booking.
