Intensive Driving Lessons West Bromwich: Crash Courses That Fit Your Test Date

If your practical test is only weeks away, a crash course can get you ready in time. Our intensive driving lessons in West Bromwich run 7 days a week, and Sandhu Driving School teaches them in manual or automatic cars. Courses range from 10 hours for a final polish to 40 hours for complete beginners.

Each session is just you and a DVSA approved instructor in a dual-controlled car, with daily pickup from home, college or work. We are based nearby in Tipton, close to Wednesbury Driving Test Centre, so your lessons cover the roads you are likely to meet on test day.

Match your course to your test: Share your booked date or call us on 0800 056 3016.

Who Our Intensive Courses in West Bromwich Suit

We bring your lessons closer together, so you can build on each session without a long gap. Consider learning through an intensive course if any of these describe you:

You have a practical test date booked and need focused preparation before it.

Your time off work, college or university gives you space for regular lessons.

You have learned before and want help returning to test standard.

You prefer daily practice because it helps you keep your skills fresh.

If you feel very nervous or have never driven, a longer course or weekly lessons first may suit you better. Your starting skills and progress matter more than fitting everything into a fixed number of days.

Automatic Driving Lessons West Bromwich on an Intensive Timetable

Our automatic crash courses let you practise without operating a clutch or changing gears manually. You can give steering, observations and traffic decisions more attention. Many learners need fewer hours to meet the test standard as a result.

Daily Sessions With an Automatic Driving Instructor West Bromwich

Throughout your automatic course, you have your instructor's full attention through 1-to-1 tuition. Your progress shapes the focus of each session. We help you work on areas that need more practice, rather than rushing towards the next task.

Before we confirm your dates, tell us your instructor preference, male or female.

How Your Intensive Course Runs in West Bromwich

Every Sandhu Driving School course runs in 3 stages, and your instructor moves you on only when you are ready. If you already have driving experience, your lessons focus on the skills that still need attention.

Early Sessions

We begin away from heavy traffic, near Sandwell Valley and Charlemont Farm, so you can practise steering, junctions and moving off. Our guidance helps you build control before tackling busier traffic.

Middle Sessions

With your instructor's help, you tackle the A41 Expressway and All Saints Way. You also work on the Scott Arms junction and West Bromwich Ringway. You practise observations, lane choice and safe decisions as traffic conditions change.

Final Sessions

We help you refine test manoeuvres, practise independent driving and sit a mock driving test near Wednesbury Driving Test Centre. Your feedback shows which skills need further work before test day.

Short breaks between sessions help you stay focused, so you can return ready to practise the next task.

DVSA Rule Updates

New Driving Test Booking Rules and Your Course

At Sandhu Driving School, we plan your tuition around the test you book yourself, because the DVSA booking rules changed in 2026:

1

Only You Can Book

Since 12 May 2026, the law lets only you, the learner, book, change or cancel your car test. Your instructor or a company cannot manage that booking for you.

2

Only 2 Changes

You can change your booked test only twice, so choose a realistic date with your instructor's guidance.

3

Nearby Centres Only

Since 9 June 2026, each change can only move your test to one of the 3 nearest centres at that time. Returning to your original booking centre remains an option too.

We aim to finish your course close to your test, while checking that the timetable suits your learning needs.

Already booked? Send us your test date and we will match a course to it.
